Donate

As a small grassroots organisation we rely on grants and individual donations to keep our services running.

The biggest funder of refugee aid in Calais has just pulled out, leaving groups providing food, clothing and shelter at risk of closing down.

With the cold closing in, conditions will be worse than ever before. People will become more desperate, and more people will lose their lives if we dont act now.

The Calais Appeal joins organisations Calais Food Collective, Calais WoodYard, Collective Aid, Refugee Women's Centre, Refugee Info Bus, Project Play and Human Rights' Observers.

Without sustainable funding from January on, our efforts to support people on the move are dangerously restricted.

Volunteer with us

We are a team of 4 - 6 volunteers on the ground, which includes 2 ground coordinators. We generally post our recruitment updates on our social media channels so please follow us on facebook, instagram or twitter to keep an eye on volunteer recruitment.

We need General Volunteers to join the team from the end of January 2022 - find out more here.

We are always interested in hearing from prospective volunteers, especially those with a tech background, a legal background and/or who speak one of the community languages (Arabic, Oromo, Amharic,Tigrinya, Farsi, Sorani, French, Dari or Pashto). Contact us on mail@refugeeinfobus.com

remote volunteers

While it is often not possible to volunteer in Northern France for long periods of time, we are always on the lookout for remote volunteers. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have a legal background, experience in fundraising and graphic design. Contact us on mail@refugeeinfobus.com to get more information.

become an infobus translator

We work with a close-knit team of 7 remote cultural mediators and translators, all of whom are refugees themselves and have gone through the process of claiming asylum. They are dedicated to translating legal information as well as to answering facebook messages from service users, wherever they may be.  If you speak Arabic, Farsi, Tigrinya, Sorani, Amharic, Oromo or Pashto and are interested in joining our team, drop us an email and CV to mail@refugeeinfobus.com  All of our cultural mediators and translators are reimbursed for their work and provided with computers and kit needed in order to do their work.

Fundraise for us

We would not be able to continue our services without our supporters who have run numerous fundraisers for us over the years. If you would like to run a fundraiser for us, get in contact with us at mail@refugeeinfobus.com and we will send you an up to date project information pack with all the information about our service

become a phone champion

Could you become a phone champion and collect unwanted mobile phones for us to distribute to refugees in Northern France? Please get in touch with rachel@refugeeinfobus.com for more information on how to get involved
