Location: Remote, ideally UK based 

Commitment: 6 Months plus.

Funding: £600 p/m

Start date: End of February to early March 2021


About Refugee Info Bus

Refugee Info Bus provides Wifi and charge, phone services, legal information and practical information guides to communities in Northern France. We work across different living sites in Calais, working out of a mobile bus with a team of 5 to 6 volunteers. Our distributions are roughly 2.5 hours long with 3 volunteers present for each distribution. We also  attend inter-association meetings, coordination meetings, different training’s and carry out a range of administrative tasks.



  • Grant Applications; applying for grant applications from UK based and international organisations

  • Maintaining good working relationships with our current grant holders and providing them with updates on the situation in Northern France and the work RIB is doing

  • Financial management; keeping track of our finances and ensuring that we are spending in line with our projected monthly budget. 

  • Overseeing the budget; approving any additional costs in line with the budget, providing updates to the on the ground team and the board of trustees about our financial situation

  • Running online fundraisers in coordination with our team on the ground

  • Creating and editing comms content in coordination with our team on the ground: writing weekly social media posts, creating the monthly newsletter and other comms content



Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Experience working in a fundraising and communications role 

Highly proactive and organised, able to manage and prioritise a busy, high-pressure workload

Calm, diplomatic and patient



Experience working in humanitarian aid, or working with refugees or migrants.

Lived experience of displacement or migration
